- Patricia Palmer was born on September 14, 1894 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA. She was an actress, known for The Hidden Law (1916), Across the Border (1922) and The Woman in the Web (1918). She died on October 21, 1964 in Hollywood, California, USA.
- As Margaret Gibson, she starred in 1910s Vitagraph westerns. She came to lead a rather tumultuous private life, punctuated by several arrests for "'vagrancy"--a popular euphemism of the period for prostitution--and extortion, which necessitated her change of name to Patricia Palmer. Her alleged deathbed confession to the 1922 murder of director William Desmond Taylor has since been dismissed by the authorities.
- She reportedly confessed, on her deathbed, to murdering William Desmond Taylor. This would make her one of about a dozen who have made the same claim during their lives or on their deathbeds.
- She began appearing on stage at the age of 12.
