Martha Johnson used to be lead singer of Canadian New Wave band Martha and the Muffins in late Seventies, early Eighties. They had one major hit - Echo Beach - in 1980. The band reformed in the mid-Eighties as a two piece with Martha and her partner Mark Gane and the band are still going.
