Stated in an interview with Time Magazine in 2014 that after working on D2: The Mighty Ducks (1994) and as he had gotten older, he realized that acting wasn't his "craft" but that he enjoyed working on The Mighty Ducks Trilogy and considered it a "life-changing event".
[2017; on being asked if he knew how big the Mighty Ducks Trilogy was going to be] "I mean, I think we were too young to have any sort of... yeah, you know?"
