Georgi Ivanov Mishev was born on November 3, 1935 in village Yoglav , Lovech region, Bulgaria. He graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine in Lovech (1953), than - journalism at the Sofia State University (1958). In 1958-1967, he was a district correspondent of the newspaper "Septemvriiche" in Lovech . He was a member of the literary circle " Hristo Kyrpachev " in Lovech. In 1966, he is the organizer and compiler of the first almanac of Lovech's writers, entitled "Dear Lilac." Than he was an editor in publishing "People's Youth " (1967-1970); an editor and screenwriter in Boyana Film Studios, Sofia (1970 -1990). He is an author of short stories, novellas and novels for adults and children. Among them are "Osam's stories," "The Kid", "Bearers of Milestones", "Adamantine", "Matriarchy", "Rural Area", "A Peasant on a Bicycle", "Ladies Choice" and "Patriarchy". His scripts for feature films have entered the golden fund of Bulgarian cinema. Among them are " The Hare Census " and " Rural area ", directed by Edward Zahariev , " Ladies Choice " and " Elf's Dance " directed by Ivan Andonov , " Do not go ", " Boy is going ", " A Peasant on a Bicycle", " Matriarchy ", directed by Lyudmil Kirkov and others. He is a member of the Union of Bulgarian Writers . He was Chairman of the Public Committee for Environmental Protection of Ruse since its establishment on March 8, 1988. He was a Member of Parliament in the VII Grand National Assembly (1990-1992). His son is a writer humorist Mikhail Veshim . Georgi Mishev won Special Prize of the XV International Film Festival of Bulgarian Feature Film (1978).He has received awards from film festivals in Locarno , Karlovy Vary , Moscow and others. He won National Award for Children's Literature "Petko Slaveykov" (2003). He received Sofia University's Grand Prize for Literature (2006). On April 27, 2006 he was awarded with the title of Honorary Citizen of the Republic "for his contribution in strengthening the prestige of Lovech in Bulgaria and abroad." He won National Award for Children's Literature "Konstantin Konstantinov" (2013). On March 7, 2014 he received the National Literature Prize for Humor and Satire "Rayko Alexiev", awarded by the Municipality of Pazardzhik for complete literary work and contribution in the field of humor and satire . On November 21, 2015 in Dobrich he gets National Literature Award "Yordan Yovkov" .
