Norman Page(1876-1935)

Nottingham born Norman Page emerged from classical theatre to be given
a starring role in his first screen appearance, The Life Story of David
Lloyd George (1918). It was the first full-length biopic of a
politician, but the film was not released. However, in 1994 it was
discovered in the Lloyd George family archive. It was remastered and
two years later was shown for the first time and is now available on
DVD. Norman Page's film career was short-lived and he returned to the stage
in London where he died in 1935 at the age of 59.
