- Hermann Stetza belonged to the permanent stunt artists of Harry Piel whose movies full of action offered many jobs for stuntmen. Especially from 1919 to 1924 Hermann Stetza was regular engaged by Harry Piel. But also Hans Albers preferred the services of Hermann Stetza.
- When the public became aware at the beginning of the 80's that the man at the entrance checking tickets for a TV show of Dieter Thomas Heck was the former famous stuntman Hermann Stetza he was in the limelight again.
- Hermann Stetza became a popular sensational actor (as they were called in those days) from the 30's. Besides his work as a stuntman in "Höllentempo" (1933) and "Die letzte Fahrt der Santa Margareta" (1936) there was also the attemp to establish him as a star actor in 1935 and he impersonated the leading role in "Der blaue Diamant" (1935). But the attempt failed.
- Turned grey in honour his body couldn't take the extremely strain much longer and he had to take things easier. Still he was connected with the medium film and television and got different jobs there.
- In the 40's he became famous in whole Germany for a specific scene. It was Hermann Stetza who doubled Hans Albers' ride on the cannon ball in the movie "Münchhausen" (1943).
- He made his first cinematical experiences as a villain in small roles which had to ride out spectacular pursuits. Sometimes Hermann Stetza changes the side and pursued as a policeman other villains over the big screen.
- Hermann Stetza's appearance in movies of the 50's are better documented than in earlier years where his name often was not mentioned in the credits.
- The stuntman Hermann Stetza was born as Hermann Stetzakowski in Osterode. He learnt his physical mastery as an artist and acrobat and he appeared at different vaudevilles. He soon got the nickname "Salto King" and he filled the audience with enthusiasm with his stunts.
