Lasse Strömstedt was born on 23 May 1935 in Gävle, Gävleborgs län, Sweden. He was an actor and writer, known for The Man Who Went Up in Smoke (1980), G (1983) and Lyftet (1978). He was married to Ann-Christine Bärnsten. He died on 4 July 2009 in Gränna, Jönköpings Län, Sweden.
