- Hanna Waag was born on May 24, 1904 in Gießen, Hesse, Germany. She was an actress, known for Waltz War (1933), Lady Windermeres Fächer (1935) and Les frères Karamazoff (1931). She died on August 13, 1995 in Gießen, Hesse, Germany.
- German leading actress of the 1930's. Married to the Jewish stage and screen production designer Rudolf Bamberger (murdered at Auschwitz in December 1944). Left acting in 1937 and went into voluntary exile in Luxemburg, but returned to her hometown Gießen in 1954.
- The actress Hanna Waag began her film career already in 1929, but in the talkies of the 30's she experienced the height of her career.
