Born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, Carlos developed an early fascination with technology and visual storytelling, which led him to pursue a career at the intersection of engineering, art, and science.
With a background in computer science, software development, and imaging engineering, Carlos has contributed to over 100 feature films, including acclaimed titles such as 1917, Mufasa: The Lion King, and Godzilla vs. Kong. His expertise in color management, pipeline development, and imaging workflows has made him a key player in advancing visual effects and post-production technology.
At Technicolor Group, Carlos took ownership of Colour Pipeline workflows, driving innovation and efficiency across multiple brands. His work focused on developing forward-thinking imaging solutions that enhanced the quality and consistency of VFX production. In addition to his technical contributions, he is a dedicated mentor, guiding imaging engineers worldwide.
Carlos is also a Member of the Visual Effects Society (VES), reflecting his commitment to the industry and its continuous evolution.
