Owen Black is a New Zealand actor based in Waipara, North Canterbury. In 2008 he was Qantas Award nominated for his role as dodgy doctor Ethan Pierce on Shortland Street. In the 2015 TV movie Abandoned, he was one of the crew on the capsized trimaran Rose-Noëlle. A keen collaborator, Black co-created and co-starred in flatmate tale Leeway and the unscripted web series Pariah, in which he plays a farmer pining for musical fame.
