Michaela Da Costa
- Actress
- Art Department
- Second Unit Director or Assistant Director
Known for her confident, calculative, seductive, and ethereal presence on screen, Michaela embodies the vixen and the femme fatale, the energetic rebel and youthful competitor, the empathetic authoritarian and timeless enchantress. She's been cast as the nature-loving hippy (Tina, Balls Up!), the strong heroine (Jennifer, Tombstone), the love rival (Maeve, Forsworn), the opinionated best friend (Jaime, Bliss of Evil), or the magnetic antagonist (Neekobrush, The Girl Behind The Screen). Think hyper-feminine with an edge-often likened to Emmy Rossum, Charlize Theron, Gal Gadot, or Zendaya.
With a background in professional sport (indoor/beach volleyball) and stunt work, Michaela frequently takes on physical roles and was both supporting actor and fight choreographer in the award-winning Bliss of Evil, now streaming on Amazon Prime. Accolades include Best Actress and Best Performance across international film festivals. She won Best in Comedy for her lead role in The Ick and has worked alongside industry giants like Mark Wahlberg, Paul Hauser, Eric André, Chelsea Crisp, Hal Crumpston, and director Peter Farrelly in Balls Up!, as well as Austin Butler and Tom Hanks under Baz Luhrmann's direction in Elvis.
Michaela is also one of only three acting coaches in the world teaching science-based, evidence-backed performance techniques through Creating Artists-an elite studio focused on screen peak performance psychology and full-time career transformation for actors.
She is the creator of a social media challenge-vlogging every day until her big acting yes-documenting the journey of believing before seeing, and encouraging actors around the world to stay the course.
Now, Michaela is preparing to step into fantasy realms - with a novel series in development and an eye toward producing an epic screen trilogy. A new world is coming.
