Staff announcer with NBC on the West Coast (first in Hollywood, then Burbank) from 1950 until his death.

Known earlier in his career as Don Rickles, he later formalized his name to avoid confusion with the insult comic Don Rickles. This Rickles would later make a famous - and rare - on-camera appearance on Episode dated 11 May 1978 (1978) from Tomorrow Coast to Coast (1973).

He was the announcer for the long-running Saturday night movie that aired on NBC from the start of the 1961/62 regular season through the 1977/78 season.
