- With more than 30 years of experience in telecoms, information systems and technology, Mohamed is Group Chief Technology Officer of Sky Group, Europe's leading media and entertainment company. As Group CTO, Mohamed sets the Group-level vision, objectives and operating model for all Sky's European territories in order to form a cohesive, Sky-wide technology strategy. His team oversees all the technology systems underpinning Sky's European-wide TV services, broadband, mobile and digital platforms as well major strategic programmes such as cyber security. He leads the Technology Executive board reporting into Sky's CEO.
Mohamed joined Sky in 2007 as Director of Network Services, leading the team which built and operated the UK network which now delivers broadband and telephony to several million Sky UK customers. He went on to become CTO of Sky UK where his team of 3,000 employees focused on the development, implementation and operation of the technology systems that underpin Sky's broadcast, broadband and mobile products and services. Prior to this, his telecoms career took him to multiple countries including France where he rose to VP of Southern Europe at Societe Internationale de Telecommunications Aeronautiques and Egypt where he was Chief Executive for Egynet, providing internet services to businesses and consumers.
Mohamed is a non-executive director of NICC, the standards body for network and services interoperability in the UK.
