Scott is an LA-based composer and has contributed his musical skills and talents to over 100 films and TV series. He is the composer for Little Pink House (2017), starring Oscar-nominated actress Catherine Keener and Emmy-nominated actress Jeanne Tripplehorn. He also scored the documentary Can We Take a Joke? (2015), featuring Gilbert Gottfried, Penn Jillette and Adam Carolla, and the acclaimed The Coddling of the American Mind (2023). Originally from Virginia, where he started composing music at age 12, Scott has lived in LA since 2000 working as a composer, arranger, orchestrator, and supervising copyist. In 2017, he and Ryan Rapsys won the Anthem Film Festival award for Best Score for "Little Pink House". In 2014, he was nominated by the Madrid International Film Festival for Best Music in Film for his score to The Box (2014), directed by Jon Huertas (This Is Us, Castle).
Scott produced the docu-series Follow the Science: Lockdowns Go Viral (2025), for which he also served as composer, writer and video editor. Additionally he co-produced and arranged music for two Christmas albums, "Christmas Fantastique" and "A Flute Tootin' Yule", and also co-founded Janen Music, which provides quality music preparation services for film, television, sound recording and live performance, and also rents music to orchestras for concert performances internationally.
