Zac Selissen is a NYC based composer, producer, and guitarist with over 5 years of experience creating original work for clients. Recent TV credits include NFL on CBS, Soul of a Nation, 20/20, Dateline, Good Morning America, and Hulu's Keeper of the Ashes.
Zac's early career began in San Francisco as a classical guitarist. With guitarist Mike Roberts, he formed Duo Symphonious, and was awarded the Shenson Award for their original adaptation of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Ballet, and the Certificate of Honor by Mayor Gavin Newsom for their performance at San Francisco City Hall. With Tangonero he was awarded the Shenson Award for their original stage production Malena.
Upon relocation to NYC in 2014, he began writing, arranging, and producing music across a broad range of styles for artists such as Karl St. Lucy, Raquel Cion, Benoit Cavara, and Soapbox Army. He worked as an audio engineer and assistant to Marius DeVries on A24's musical film, Dicks: The Musical.
He has a particular love for dance, and regularly collaborates with his brother's modern dance company. Their works together include Accidental Suite, Titles Project, Skyfire and Emic Flux (Barkin/Selissen Project).
He earned his Masters of Music degree in Guitar Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music under the instruction of Marc Teicholz and has received coaching from Sergio Assad, Su Meng and Yameng Wang, and Peter and Zoltan Katona. Zac is a teaching artist with Trinity Wall Street.
He lives in Carroll Gardens with his wife, son and pup.
