Gurleen Pannu is an Indian comedian and writer. She was raised in Chandigarh, Punjab and completed her education from Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women by earning a B.Sc degree in Microbial and Food Technology.
The versatile artist excelled in her studies. She was the University topper in Microbiology in her undergraduate course. Gurleen was also a part of the theatre and dramatics club and participated in many talent and open mic shows.
She took up comedy as a career after performing in an open mic show organized by her friend. The maverick artist also likes to write scripts and is known for her unique storytelling and observational humor.
Gurleen made an entry into the SonyLIV show Chalo Koi Baat Nahi in 2021. She continued to work as the writer of the show for two years. In the following year, she participated in the third season of Comicstaan on Amazon Prime Video.
The comedian ended the season as the runner up of the competition, earning her the prize of Rs 10 Lakh. Since then she hasn't looked back and performed her stand-up comedy solo show 'Pannu Yaar' across various cities of India.
As a result, Gurleen has earned great recognition and accolades for her impactful performances. She has impressed the audiences with great humor and crafted her own niche. Recently, she also hosted YouTube Fanfest India in 2024.
