Peter Harper is an Award-Winning Independent Filmmaker, Artist/Illustrator and Published Poet who resides in Liverpool UK.
Peter's short film PAPER SUN was lucky enough to win the Audience Choice for Favourite Short Film at the Severed Limbs Awards in 2023 in which he was Writer & Director. PAPER SUN went on to play at the Bloody Flicks Awards / Rome Outcast Film Festival amongst others.
Peter is the Co-Writer & Co-Director of the Independent Feature Film - The Hounds of Darkness, which he collaborated with Award Winning Independent Film Company - Slumberjack Entertainment. The Hounds of Darkness was the headlining film at Rhyller Thriller Horror Festival in 2023. The film successfully went on to be picked up by streaming services AppleTV, Tubi & Reveel.
Peter is the writer of the short Poetry piece WITHIN DARKNESS in which he collaborated with Award Winning music composer Tony Longworth, Photographer- Amanda Norman & Narrated by Actor Bill Oberst Jr. (3 From Hell / Resolution)
Peter is the author of dark-poetry book - Autumn: The Melancholy & Mental Health, which all proceeds went to the charity MIND.
Peter is a former writer and critic for film & horror magazines and websites such as Bloody Flicks, Popcorn Horror, Zone, TerrorTalk, Video Views and The Guardian.
Peter has contributed artwork to numerous film and horror art-books, magazines, book covers, album covers and alternative exhibitions. His licensed work can be seen in art-books such as ; HANNIBAL from Printed in Blood based on the hit TV series MANDY: The Ultimate Poster Book from PosterSpy based on the film starring Nicolas Cage 'It's Me Billy: Black Christmas Revisited from Black Bear based on the cult horror film.
Peter has illustrated numerous book covers such as Drive-Thru Hell, Cosmic Showdown, The Last Stop, Orchid, TimeRipper amongst many others.
Peter has illustrated numerous Independent Film Posters for films such as The Widower, The House that Henry Built, The Lover as well as many Film Festival posters.
Peter has contributed character Concept Art for the horror film RESIRE.
