- Molly Seagrim was born into a struggling working class family that moved to Miami, Florida in 1957 when she was thirteen years old. Molly attended both high school and college in Miami, Florida (she has a Master's degree in literature). In 1969 Seagrim and her youngest sister left Miami in a Volkswagen car and drove to San Francisco, California. Molly got an apartment on Church Street as well as a job working for the federal government as a Social Security Benefit Examiner. Seagrim met her future husband Zachary Strong at a party at his place in Portrero Hill. Molly eventually moved into Strong's flat and subsequently discovered that Strong was involved in the burgeoning West Coast adult cinema scene. She married Strong on April 5, 1970. Seagrim initially began performing in softcore loops and did her first hardcore movie in 1973. Besides appearing onscreen in a handful of X-rated features, Molly also worked on a bunch of explicit films in a variety of behind the scenes production capacities. Seagrim and Strong separated and divorced amicably in 1977. After retiring from the adult film industry in the mid-1980's, Molly went on to become a published writer and started her own publishing firm. In addition, Seagrim still remains friends with Strong.- IMDb Mini Biography By: woodyanders & Ashley West - The Rialto Report

- [on why she decided to do porn in the early 1970's] Maybe I was breaking away from a pretty straight and regulated academic life and I was ready to drop out and try new things. Also it could have had to do with me wanting to get rid of my sexual inhibitions. I had this idea that I could do anything a man could do. I was going to be a female version of the literary Tom Jones figure.
