Stephanie Martin
Stephanie Martin followed the premiere of her award winning short WILD HORSES (which she co-wrote and directed), with BERLIN, I LOVE YOU. Stephanie got her start as a set lighting technician on independent films and worked her way up the ladder. She eventually graduated from the AFI Cinematography Program. She continues to work as a cinematographer on commercials, documentaries and mainstream features (such as WWZ and EAT PRAY LOVE) and independent features, lately having lensed the Lifetime film UNDER THE BED for director Dan Myrick. Stephanie was selected to participate in the AFI Directing Workshop for Women where she co-wrote and directed the award-winning short film Wild Horses which went on to win best live action film at Palm Springs Shortfest. Stephanie recently directed commercials for American Express, Arrecifes beer, and Palava. She is currently in development on two feature films and a current fellow of both the Disney/ABC and Sony Pictures directing programs. Stephanie credits the fact that she is fully trilingual and bicultural to her being at ease working anywhere her work may take her. Stephanie received her BA in Political Science and French at Wellesley College, her MFA in Cinematography at the American Film Institute, and is a graduate of the AFI Directing Workshop for Women. She is a member of local #600. With passports from the US, Brazil and Germany, Stephanie speaks English, Spanish, French and Portuguese.
