Benjamin resides in Ann Arbor, MI, where his love for comedy blossomed over the summer of 2020. Frustrated by the scarcity of current comedies, he channeled his passion into writing, directing, and producing his own comedic films.
In the summer of 2022, Benjamin penned his first feature film, "Rosetta Stoned," a project that would come to fruition the following year. By summer 2023, he directed and produced "Rosetta Stoned," bringing his vision to life. Less than a week after wrapping up principal photography, Benjamin embarked on writing his next feature, "Hometown Summer." This new project draws heavily on the experiences and lessons learned from his debut film.
Benjamin's comedic style is influenced by films such as "Fast Times at Ridgemont High," "American Pie," "Superbad," and "Blockers." Additionally, he draws inspiration from comedians such as George Carlin, Dave Chappelle, and Seth MacFarlane. He aspires to create films that resonate with audiences, blending humor with relatable, heartfelt storytelling.
