JC Perez
- Actor
Julio Cesar "JC" Perez was born in Tulua, Colombia. He was raised in Orlando, and Cape Coral/Fort Myers, Florida. He graduated from Edison State College (now Florida Southwestern State College) with his Associate in Arts degree and went on to graduate from the University of Central Florida in 2016 with a Bachelor's of Science in Aerospace Engineering. Shortly after, he joined Belcan Engineering Group as a project engineer and eventually landed at NASA as a systems engineer helping to launch Artemis I. JC would go on to Blue Origin where he holds a Launch Operations role supporting the Launch of New Glenn Mission 1. JC has always been enthusiastic about the film industry and in the arts. During his middle school days at Trafalgar Middle School in Cape Coral, FL, he was heavily involved in TV production, often acting as the director and incorporating new shots, transitions and stories. By the time he entered high school, he knew he had a passion for stage and film. He joined the Take Note II Show Choir at Cape Coral High School and performed in various medley musical theater performances. He went on to start in a short comedic play The Apple as a British Art Critic. Upon entering college at Edison State College, he continued to further develop his passion for the performing arts by joining the college choir. There, he performed in a holiday musical theater mini show and eventually joined the Cultural Park Community Theater in their production of She Loves Me, a musical with a book by Joe Masteroff, music by Jerry Bock, and lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, as the fourth lead character of Steven Kodaly - A well respected and liked employee at Maraczek's Parfumerie who is considered dapper and occasionally charming, however he is more of a shallow womanizer.
In 2018, he got his taste of the film and television industry by taking part in a background role for Disney's Fairytale Weddings Season 1, Episode 2 A Rustic Romance. Shortly after, he booked another spot on Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway during their episode at Universal Orlando. His first on-set film experience came a year later as background on the set of The Laundromat (2019) directed by Steven Soderbergh and starred Meryl Streep, Gary Oldman, Antonio Banderas and Jeffery Wright. Coming out of the pandemic, he joined Fallen Rock, LLC in the production and development of PAWN (2022), a short film by up and coming Director and Producer, Josiah Ruelas. In the film, he played two distinct roles. One as a chronic alcoholic wife abuser, and the second, as a demented sociopath and primary antagonist of the main character. JC went on to be in several other projects including Ruby (2024) produced by Alexa Cicolini and Chipper Stark and directed by Juniper Vargas.
JC continues to look for roles that show his ability to perform different characters. He takes guidance from performances of Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell, and Leonardo Di Caprio as inspiration for performing completely different roles in various projects.
In 2024, JC joined the cast of two short films and a feature film project: Inamorata (unreleased), The Workshop (unreleased), Fallen Ashes (2025).
