John E. Saxon

Born in Tynemouth, Northumberland, John is the son of William John Saxon (Mick) and Margaret Ann Sturrock and is of Scots/Irish descent. His father re-joined the RAF in 1958, having served from 1938 - 1945 as a Servicing Commando and was posted with his family to Malta, where John lived for 3 years. He returned to the UK and lived in Lincolnshire and Rutland until 1964 when he once again moved overseas to Zambia for another 3 years to finish his education.
John joined the RAF in 1968 and served for 12 years as an Air Electronics Engineer / Technician on Vulcan Bombers travelling all over the world on detachment.
After leaving the RAF, He started his own business development consultancy, which he sold in 2000 to move to France for 14 years to renovate a 17th Century Longére and become self sufficient on a 2.5 acre smallholding.
John lives with his partner, Susie, in Llandogo in the Wye Valley and he has 2 sons Timothy and Alexander James.
In addition to acting, John has a wide variety of skills which include: Woodworking, Carpentry, Plumbing, Tiling, Mini Digger and Tractor Driving, Motorcycle rider, Firearms trained and holds a Shotgun and Firearms Certificate, Video Editing and Powerpoint Developer.
