- Actor

Aleksandr Abt is a Soviet and Russian figure skater who competed in singles skating. Honored Master of Sports of Russia. Began figure skating at the age of six. He won his first medal at a major tournament in 1991, still a member of the USSR national team - silver at the Junior World Championships.
Throughout his sports career, Aleksandr was plagued by various injuries. In 1995, during a tournament in Japan, Abt suffered a serious injury, and barely had time to recover when he faced a real threat of ending his career. He suffered his most serious injury in 1996 during exhibition performances in Mexico.
Aleksandr was able to recover and win several medals at major competitions - silver and bronze at the European Championship, as well as ten awards at the Grand Prix stages. At 25, he managed to master a quadruple toe loop - just before the Olympics in Salt Lake City. Abt qualified for the Games in the USA, which became the only ones in his career, but he was unable to intervene in the dispute between Evgeni Plushenko and Alexei Yagudin. He was quite capable of taking bronze, but minor mistakes prevented him.
His last amateur tournament was the 2004 Russian Championship, where he had to stop due to a groin injury.
