Born in Graz, Austria, on June 7, 1977, David Reinhard Brandstätter
discovered an early talent for playing piano and writing orchestral music.
Growing up as a film music enthusiast in a musical family, David attended piano lessons starting at the age of six at the conservatory of Graz.
Brandstatter graduated at University Salzburg FH MultimediaArt in 2001 and worked at the Vienna based game company Rockstar Games as a composer/sound designer and as a project manager at Sony DADC in Salzburg. Since 2011, David is managing director at Tectonic Slide Entertainment, a 3D animation company based in Vienna.
