Karen Starr-DelloIacono is the creative mind behind the fashion label Starr D. A native New Yorker, she is the grand-daughter of Thomas Starr, a tailor from Tipperary, Ireland whose skills were sought out by old time, famed notables such as international film star Hildegard Knef and film/TV star Richard Boone to name a few. After working as a tech writer in software development and traveling the world in the airline industry, the decision to continue in her grandfather's footsteps became apparent. A new generation of celebrities such as Beyonce, Angelina Jolie, Gwen Stefani and Jessica Alba now wear her designs.
