Nerd movies, like geeks themselves, have come a long way over the last few decades. When films about nerds and geeks started becoming popular in the 1980s, they showed the characters as losers, misfits, and outsiders who had to face bullies, who were often the cool, popular kids. Since the 80s, the roles have stayed the same concerning their brains and status as misfits, but these characters have become more prestigious and important, as brains are more important than brawn in today's society.

When it comes to movies about nerds and geeks, they are no longer just about nerds being picked on by jocks and having to survive. They have become films about the smartest kids in the class doing things that no one ever imagined they could do. Geeks today are cool and often have more in common with regular people than the jocks that used to rule the class.

Crunchyroll announced that they will start streaming the English dub of Konosuba season 3 on the platform starting April 24, 2024.

Netflix’s After Life is coming to an end: The Ricky Gervais drama-comedy will premiere its third and final season on Friday, Jan. 14.

The six-episode swan song follows Tony, “a writer for the local newspaper whose life is upended after his wife dies from cancer,” reads the official synopsis. “Whilst still struggling with immense grief for his wife, Tony starts to realize that making other people feel good is what can give him hope and a reason to live. After all, every end is a new beginning.”

Paramount Plus announced that the animated series “Big Nate” will debut early next year. The series is from Nickelodeon Animation Studio and is based on the children’s books and comic strip written and drawn by Lincoln Peirce.

New animated series Big Nate, based on the best-selling children’s books and comic strip written and drawn by Lincoln Peirce, is set to debut on Paramount+ in early 2022.

Ben Giroux is set to voice the titular character, a sixth-grader who believes he is awesome. He’s funny, entertaining, and even a little insecure, but he’s not about to let the rest of the world know that.

Disney star Dove Cameron will portray Nate Wright’s older sister and the object of his angst, Ellen. If Ellen has flaws, Nate’s never seen them, but he’s determined to find them anyway.

Their dad Martin will be played by Rob Delaney, whose life has not gone as planned. Although he’s raising two kids alone, he tries not to complain.
