Biography

    • Anna Prus is an award winning Television/Film and Theater actress from Warsaw, Poland. She is widely known to audiences across Europe for her performance in Xawery Zulawski's SNOW WHITE AND RUSSIAN RED.The film was hailed by critics as a blustery romp through the disaffected world of post-Communist Polish youth. Anna was nominated for The Golden Duck award in the category of the Best Performance by a Lead Actress in motion picture.

Anna recently wrapped production on Dennis Delic's World War II drama, SQUADRON 303 a true story about the Polish Air Force fighter pilots who flew with Great Britain's Royal Air Force (R.A.F.) during the Battle of Britain and based on the best selling novel by Arkady Fidler. The film is making it's world wide release in the fall of 2018.

In 2015, Anna collaborated with Max Sturgeon on his feature debut, THANATOS. A film about the lives of three strangers, each holding a dark secret where their lives all intersect. Also that year Anna starred in Kirill Belevich's EDINICHKA. A film about a small Russian unit left to guard a bridge, in 1944, in Occupied Poland. The unit becomes preoccupied with the fate of a group of children who are being hidden from the Germans by a compelled nun - played by Anna. For this role Anna has won two Awards on the festivals in Russia for best actress.

In 2007, Anna gave yet another memorable performance in Maciej Odolinski's 7 MINUT. The film details how one man's life comes apart after he spends 7 minutes doing something he shouldn't have.

In 2002, Anna graduated from the Theater School of Ludwina Nowicka in her hometown, two years later the Acting Studio LART in Krakow, and in 2005 the European Film Academy in Berlin.

Anna is an active volunteer of the non-political/profit/religious association Service Civil International (SCI) as she is passionately dedicated to promoting a culture of peace around the world and passionately donates her time to volunteer work supporting human rights, non-violence, solidarity and respect for the environment through empowerment and cooperation.

Anna currently divides her time between Warsaw and Los Angeles and speaks four languages (English, German, Polish, Russian) with proficiency.
