Fox News has broken up with headline host Tucker Carlson, announcing in a terse statement on Monday that the departure was effective immediately.
The news comes as a surprise. During the years in which the host built his status at Fox News hawking racism, conspiracy theories, and seeding hatred and discrimination into the minds of his viewers, the network’s corporate overlords stood behind him at every turn. Time and time again, the network protected Carlson through public backlash, advertiser boycotts, and a sea of reporting errors that would have...

In 2013, Gawker published a sex tape featuring the wrestler Hulk Hogan and a female partner, the then-wife of his best friend Bubba the Love Sponge. The outrage following this story emerged at a slow trickle: while some media commenters suggested the story may have been in poor taste, most viewed it as just another example of the tabloid’s notoriously unruly ethos; i.e., just Gawker being Gawker. Then, in 2016, Hogan filed a $100 million lawsuit against Gawker, alleging invasion of privacy. He won, with the jury ruling a $140 million award for Hogan.

If you believe former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly, Media Matters for America is the nation’s “most dangerous organization,” which would be quite a feat for a modestly funded nonprofit whose 80 employees spend a lot of their time quietly watching cable news at their desks. The 15-year-old, left-leaning news-watchdog group’s mission of combating “conservative misinformation” extends to minute-by-minute scrutiny of right-wing media — Fox News, in particular — and its stars, who do not, as a rule, enjoy the attention. Sean Hannity accused Mmfa of “liberal fascism,” and said...

Fox News Channel will keep Saturday primetime host Jeanine Pirro off the air another weekend in wake of her scathing remarks about Rep Ilhan Omar.
Like last week, Justice with Judge Jeanine will be replaced Saturday at 9 Pm with a repeat of its Scandalous docuseries.
Pirro’s show had lost advertisers since an edition of the show in which she seemed to question the national allegiance of Rep. Ilhan Omar because the she wears a hijab.
NerdWallet was among advertisers that said they would stay away from Pirro’s show in the wake of her incendiary remark about Omar.
Fox News had condemned Pirro’s comment, saying, “We strongly condemn Jeanine Pirro’s comments about Rep. Ilhan Omar. They do not reflect those of the network and we have addressed the matter with her directly.”
For her part, Pirro insisted she was only trying to “start a debate.”

Samantha Bee offered her two cents on the Tucker Carlson imbroglio currently engulfing Fox News on Wednesday, saying that the host’s old disparaging remarks towards women and Iraqis is probably what got him his job at the network.
“That is vile and disgusting and presumably the audition tape that got him a job interview at Fox,” Bee said during the monologue of her TBS show “Full Frontal. “Tucker Carlson publicly advocated a genocide while promoting his MSNBC show?”
On set, Bee played several of the most damaging moments from the Carlson audio released by Media Matters this week.
“I love women, but they’re extremely primitive. They’re basic,” Carlson said in one moment during his collected appearances on Florida shock jock Bubba the Love Sponge’s radio show.

Tucker Carlson spent a third day attacking left wing critics and Media Matters for America on Wednesday evening, this time zeroing in on newly resurfaced blog posts from the organization’s president Angelo Carusone.
“Carusone is himself an enthusiastic bigot,” Carlson said on his Fox News primetime show. “We know this for sure because he has written about it extensively. It turns out for years Carusone maintained a racist blog.”
The Fox News host then read a number of excerpts from Cauronse’s blog from more than a decade ago. In one post called “tranny paradise,” Carusone mocked a Bangladeshi man who had been assaulted in Thailand by a group of male prostitutes. In another, he attempted to explain his longtime boyfriend’s conservative leanings by noting his “possession of several bags of Jewish gold.”

Paid advertisements for “Tucker Carlson Tonight” have dropped to 39 percent of what it was before liberal group Media Matters for America unearthed old recordings in which Carlson made disparaging comments about women and minorities, a new analysis shows.
According to data company Samba TV, the show went from 36 advertisers on the Monday before the release of the tapes to 14 advertisers the day after.
Carlson remains the most-watched show at 8 p.m. in all of cable. But more than 30 advertisers have pulled their ads since December, when Carlson said that “an endless chain of migrant caravans” was making “our own country poorer, and dirtier, and more divided.” Media Matters has called on people to boycott businesses that advertise on the show.

Tucker Carlson called for an IRS investigation into Media Matters for America on Tuesday saying that as a non-profit, its political activity was in violation of its 501 (c) (3) status.
“In an e-mail from January 5 of 2016, Hillary staff discussed working with Media Matters to counter a Vanity Fair piece on Huma Abedin, quote, ‘We have Media Matters and core surrogates lined up which we can expand on tomorrow,'” Carlson said. “This isn’t just unethical, it is illegal.”
“Under IRS Regulations 501 (c) (3), nonprofits are totally prohibited from participating in campaigns of political candidates. Media Matters broke the law. The group has never been punished for this, though it is widely known,” Carlson continued. “Media Matters retains its tax exempt status. That means that you and every other taxpayer is subsidizing attacks on our own First Amendment. Why is this? How can this be happening? Maybe someone should call the IRS tomorrow morning and find out.

Tucker Carlson’s show slipped a bit in demo ratings on Monday, which was the Fox News host’s first episode since Media Matters unearthed old audio of Carlson making crude remarks about women and statutory rape during radio interviews.
Last night’s program drew 2.895 million viewers, with 495,000 of those coming from the key adults 25-54 demographic. Those numbers topped all of Tucker’s cable news competition, but they’re down from his quarter-to-date averages. Versus last Monday (2.862 million) and the same night last year (2.791 million), Carlson’s latest episode ticked up in total viewers.

According to multiple media reports, jury selection for the trial began on Tuesday in Tampa, Florida. Hogan is suing the company for $100 million, a figure that could vastly impact the future of the internet and Gawker depending on the jury’s eventual ruling. Hogan could certainly take the down the company for good if his lawsuit is successful.
Hogan was secretly filmed in 2006 having sex with Heather Clem, who at the time...

Just when you think that you have heard it all, there appears to be a new storyline in the Hulk Hogan sex tape saga. New evidence suggests that Hogan may have been extorted and blackmailed when it came to the tape’s possible release to the general public.
Hogan is currently embroiled in a lawsuit with Gawker concerning the alleged release of the tape, which was filmed without Hogan’s knowledge in 2006. Back in July, Hogan was abruptly released from his WWE contract when racist comments that Hogan made on the tape were leaked to the media.
A news agency in Florida suggests that Matthew Lloyd, a co-worker of Radio D.J. Bubba The Love Sponge, attempted to extort Hogan of $1 million after stealing the sex tape, which features Hogan and Bubba The Love Sponge’s ex-wife, Heather Clem. Lloyd worked under the radio name “Spice.”

Despite a whirlwind of controversy over the summer, it appears that at least one company out there still wants to associate with Hulk Hogan.
A fantasy sports betting site called Fan Picks has reportedly signed the Hulkster to an endorsement deal, per a new report from TMZ. A spokesperson for Fan Picks told TMZ, regarding Hogan’s recent controversies, “We all make mistakes and deserve second chances.”
When it comes to sports betting websites, a genre that is growing at an incredible pace, Fan Picks is not a particularly big name at the moment. Perhaps the company believes that by joining forces with the much maligned Hogan, they can gain some publicity and the investment will be worth whatever it is they are paying him.
Hulk Hogan also commented on his signing with Fan Picks, saying, “I am looking forward to connecting with all my...

Hulk Hogan used homophobic slurs on the same tape as his racist rant, Radaronline.com is reporting.
“VH1 wanted me to do a big thing and go back to the house I grew up in,” Hogan says.
“So we knock on the door and a big f*g lives there now!”
“This half-gay was enamoured with Linda.”
He then turns on his ex-wife, saying “Dude (as Bubba The Love Sponge enters the room) the only thing I will ever ask of you … I don’t know how you will pull this off … is, if I am ever on my death bed, you cannot let Linda come and visit me.”
Hogan goes on to worry that Linda is going to force him to sell his Las Vegas residence, which he bought for $4.25 million and saw grow to a $5 million valuation.
Radaronline then says that the “black billionaire” “n*****” he...

A tourist from Michigan stole an autographed Hulk Hogan wrestling shoe from his shop in Florida and returned it a few days later.
The woman, whose name has not yet been revealed, allegedly took the shoe on a whim while looking inside Hogan’s Beach Shop in Clearwater on Sunday, March 16. Employees of the shop didn’t notice the one-of-a-kind shoe – Hogan once wore the shoe and signed it – was missing until Tuesday evening, and the theft was announced to the press on Wednesday, March 19. The shoe is valued at $5,500.
Source: Clearwater Pd
In their original press release, the police said that security tapes showed four white women, possibly on Spring Break, had entered a shop at 5:16 p.m., minutes before a statue of Hogan fell outside the shop, distracting the store’s employees long enough for the suspect to grab the shoe. The woman was described as “a white female in her 50s,...

October 27th 2009 was a day that I imagine very few people saw coming. This was the day that Tna Wrestling, a company that has long been a very distant number two wrestling promotion who are very much in the background compared to the monolith that is WWE – announced they had signed The biggest professional wrestler in the business, Hulk Hogan.
Now of course Hogan was way beyond actually wrestling anything aside from maybe a very rare match with very few bumps taken, but his presence clearly would attract a whole new audience to the Tna product wouldn’t it? See Tna had been trying to raise awareness for their product for many years. Usually they seemed to try and accomplish this by trying to attract former WWE wrestlers and hoping they would help them get over the 1.0 ratings hump that they’d been stuck with seemingly forever. They tried with Christian,...

We’re starting to get the impression that Hulk Hogan’s sex tape partner Heather Clem had a pretty open marriage with her husband, DJ Bubba The Love Sponge. Like, really open. Open enough to drive a couple semi-trucks through. If you thought it was pretty weird to let your best friend sleep with your wife, brace yourself because that was just the the tip of the sexual iceberg. According to RadarOnline, The Hulk was just one of many famous faces who made a sex tape with Mrs. The Love Sponge.
“Bubba regularly brought his wife’s sex tapes into work at the radio station and would show them to the staff,” says an insider at Bubba’s office. “When the Hulk tape was leaked none of his staff were surprised because they’d all seen it already! And that wasn’t the only tape they saw with Heather having sex with a celebrity.

Hulk Hogan apparently isn't the only one feeling wronged. The 59-year-old wrestling legend may have filed a civil lawsuit on Monday against radio personality Bubba the Love Sponge and his ex-wife, Heather Clem (now Heather Cole), in connection with the release of a sex tape starring Hulk and the former Mrs. Love Sponge. But now, a lawyer for Bubba (real name: Todd Clem) tells E! News exclusively that his client is "a victim" in this scandal. "I don't understand how you can sue a victim and I don't understand how you can sue your best friend," the attorney says. "I'm hopeful we never get served and can work together to find out [what happened with the tape]. I am convinced...

It’s on! After Hulk Hogan filed a $100 million lawsuit against the website that leaked his sex tape, DJ Bubba The Love Sponge made claims on his radio program that the Hulk may have released the footage himself. Things are getting increasingly ugly between the ex-bff’s, and Bubba made some seriously cutting remarks over the course of the show. He accused the Hulk of being self-centered, which is a fair accusation for someone with a “the” in his name. But then he got real personal, attacking the Hulk by going after the rest of the Hogan’s. He dredged up Nick’s car crash in 2007, questioned Brooke’s talent, and called his ex-wife Linda a “whore.” Ooof.
Despite the whole mess, Bubba claims to have never even viewed the tape, which makes a decent amount of sense. It was bad enough when we had to watch it, sitting through...

There's more than one side to every sex tape. On Monday, Hulk Hogan filed a civil lawsuit against Bubba the Love Sponge and his ex-wife, Heather Clem (now Heather Cole). The 59-year-old wrestler alleges that the sex tape that hit the Web earlier this month was leaked by Bubba (real name: Todd Clem) without the Hulkster's consent. But according to Mr. Love Sponge, his ex-best friend Hulk was in on the sex tape's release from the get-go. Tuesday morning, Bubba said on his radio show that Hulk "brainwashed" Bubba into giving his blessing for his then-wife Heather to have sex with the wrestler. Bubba also claimed that contrary to Hulk's claims of being secretly taped during sex, the athlete and...

Remember The Fox And The Hound? Well we’ve got a friend-breakup that’s a whole lot sadder (and grosser). According to TMZ, Hulk Hogan is suing his best friend Bubba The Love Sponge for secretly taping him having sex with Bubba’s wife, Heather Clem (A.K.A. Mrs. The Love Sponge). We’re not sure why the whole gang didn’t just truck over to Jerry Springer, but apparently the Hulk is filing a breach of privacy lawsuit in Florida. Awww, you guys! Not since Forrest Gump have we been so devastated by a friendship with someone called “Bubba.” But on the upside, it did allow us to write our favorite headline over all time.
At the end of the sextape, after Hulk did his thing and left, a man’s voice (presumed to be Bubba’s) is clearly heard saying “If we ever did want to retire,...

Hulk Hogan’s sex tape has leaked online, and now he’s about to let lawyer-mania run wild on anyone who dares distribute it. Translation? He’s totally prepared to sue the pants off of peeps. When the existence of the tape was made known back in March, Hogan promised sweet, sweet legal retribution. Even so much as a screen grab was enough to send the wrestling legend into a tizzy. So needless to say, when Gawker leaked a one minute clip of the tape yesterday, Hogan was, errr….displeased. According to TMZ, he is in the midst of writing a cease and desist letter to the offending website, demanding that the video clip be removed.
But that doesn’t mean we can’t describe it, right? (Checks legal council) We can? Great! Let us begin. Despite being just one minute long, the clip is truly something special. The woman in question...

We were highly suspicious about your sincerity during your recent TV interview – now here’s what body language experts have to say about it!
Tiger Woods gave his first interviews on Mar. 21, and finally answered questions for 5 minutes about his cheating, his marriage that’s hanging by a thread and his return to golf! But didn’t he seem kind of fakey fake? He didn’t exactly sound sincere. So now, we’re wondering if Tiger looked sooo uncomfortable because he knew there were more revelations to come this week as his alleged 16th mistress, stripper Devon James, was about to announce herself to the world on Mar. 23 on the Bubba The Love Sponge radio show? Devon makes the salacious allegations that Tiger paid her and another women $2,000 each for a threesome in 2006 — plus that he also sent her raunchy sext messages. Unbelievable! There are more filthy, lurid claims of Tiger’s threesomes, $4,000-a-night sex parties, and even more disgusting sext messages!
Elin Nordegren, your nightmare just won’t end! A Florida porn queen named Devon James is the latest — and 16th — woman to come out of the Woods-work, claiming a two-and-a-half-year affair with the golfer. Yesterday, on the Bubba The Love Sponge radio show, James alleged that Tiger paid her and another woman $2,000 each for a threesome in 2006, and that porn films played in the background while she and her unnamed friend had “dirty” sex.
What’s more, Devon alleged there’s a whole trove of more sext messages with Devon, including ones in which he called her “wh**e,” not unlike the cretinous communication he had with another alleged mistress, Joslyn James.
Do you think he confessed to Elin? Tell us now!
