FBI Season 6 can best be summed up in two words: Treading water.
Collins Dictionary defines treading water as "to be in an unsatisfactory situation where you are not progressing, but are just continuing doing the same things."
Ok, so maybe that definition is a little harsh when it comes to describing the latest FBI season.
Its powers-that-be did give viewers a dash or two of character development. Not the average amount they would have received from an entire season, but some.
Questions about the impact of those changes in the characters' lives will have to wait for the next complete season to be answered.
Yet ever present were those "ripped-from-the-headlines" storylines for which Dick Wolf is renowned.
The terrorists, the possibility of Armageddon, and the tense takes on terrible threats remained front and center. If anything, this procedural became even more procedural, if that's possible.

FBI doesn’t go home with the agents or explore their lives outside of work much, but it’s doing so in a significant way—stretching slowly over multiple episodes and culminating in the latest—with Maggie Bell (Missy Peregrym) in Season 6. And that included a Rookie Blue reunion for Peregrym, with Charlotte Sullivan coming in to play her character’s friend and former colleague, Jessica Blake, a single mother. “I was so excited that Charlotte said yes to doing the show. She always just brings such a great energy. She’s so talented, and it just was so nice to have someone that I know that I could really genuinely just feel that with,” Peregrym tells TV Insider. “We have such small arcs on this show, so to be able to have somebody that I already had a connection with made it really fun to go to work. The FBI universe may have just returned to the air after almost a year off, but sadly, we’re already getting a short break in the schedule.
Unlike in the past, this latest hiatus has nothing to do with the show’s production schedule.
Instead, the shows on the broadcast network will take a breather on Tuesday, March 5.
After such a long break between seasons, a surefire way to ruin the momentum for FBI, FBI: International, and FBI: Most Wanted is to put them on hiatus.
But this time, it’s necessary. There was the hope that with all CBS dramas airing truncated seasons, the breaks in the schedule would be pretty much non-existent.
The three FBI universe series have aired three episodes, so we’re still very early into their latest runs.
When will the FBI universe return to CBS?

Shot almost entirely underwater, the ambitious project has released a rather impressive trailer, giving us a great look at what we have to look forward to in just under a week’s time.
“The Underwater Realm is a series of five short films set and shot almost entirely underwater. They tell the story of five times throughout history when mankind has come into contact with an ancient race of people living beneath the sea. Reaching back across over two thousand years of our history, The Underwater Realm is truly one of the largest and most ambitious indie film projects ever completed in the UK. Having already completed principal photography, the films are currently undergoing advanced post-production processes.

John Foster (Christopher Dane) is fed up. He’s lost his job, bills are piling up, his partner keeps nagging him. Along with his friend and fellow couch potato Chris (Lee Boardman) he decides to put some silly things on “an online auction site” (*cough* eBay) including soiled underwear and himself. A regional news crew catches up with him one morning as the auction is drawing to a close and then follow him in real time as the clock counts down to the end of his selling of himself. He and Chris are bewildered by all of the attention, then seduced by the promise from ambitious reporter Maia (Jessica Blake) of fame and fortune, before things really start to get out of hand with locals and international news hotshots gathering outside his house, all keen to see what will happen. How much is a human life worth? – we are repeatedly asked to consider.

It's been a busy day for indie movies on Empire, what with the new poster for Another Year and another for The Kids Are Alright. And now here's a poster and trailer for a third movie, this time a small-scale British indie called Being Sold. It's the story of a bloke who, following redundancy, puts himself up for sale on an online auction site – ignoring several international and national laws outlawing slavery in the process, we might add. The cast includes Christopher Dane (Born of Hope), Lee Boardman (Rome), Eva Pope (Waterloo Road), Jessica Blake (The Butterfly Tattoo) as well as Chris Hannon (Lunch Monkeys), Lesley Joseph (Birds of a Feather), John Thompson, Terry Christian and Roy Walker.A percentage of the film's box office is apparently going to Amnesty International, and a release date is due to be announced in the next couple of days. Check out the poster...
