Nikos "NiVO" Vourliotis is a pioneering Greek artist and cultural icon, best known as the frontman of the legendary hip hop group Goin' Through. With a dynamic career spanning more than three decades, NiVO is a multifaceted force in the entertainment industry-an acclaimed music producer, internationally recognized DJ, actor, television host, fashion designer, and political figure.
Founded in the early 1990s, Goin' Through is one of the most influential hip hop groups in Greece and Cyprus. They played a crucial role in introducing and mainstreaming hip hop culture in the region. With a discography that includes 13 albums, 5 soundtracks, and numerous singles and compilations, the group has performed to sold-out audiences across Greece and internationally, including the United States, United Kingdom, Cyprus, the Netherlands, and Germany.
NiVO has worked with top Greek record labels such as BMG, Universal Music, EMI, and Sony Music. He has also collaborated with leading Greek and international artists, including Alkistis Protopsalti, Anna Vissi, Despoina Vandi, Giorgos Mazonakis, Antonis Remos, Julio Iglesias Jr., Michael Sembello, and many others.
In the 2004 Goin' Through album La Sagrada Familia, NiVO secured the participation of Guru (of Gang Starr and Jazzmatazz) on the track "Afti ti Zoi." The following year, he brought on respected American underground group 7L & Esoteric to produce and co-write a track on the gold-certified album Vendetta. That album included the massive hit single "Kalimera Ellada," a politically charged anthem that became a cultural touch point.
NiVO is widely regarded as the leading Hip Hop and R\&B DJ in Greece and one of the most current DJs in Europe. Through his label, Family The Label, he has been releasing hip hop and R\&B albums since 1997, blending underground and mainstream styles. He has also been deeply involved in event production, organizing countless successful shows over the past 11 years.
He was a prominent television host, having created and led Street Beat (1997-2009), the only show dedicated to urban music and culture on Greece's top music channel, MAD TV. In 2005, NiVO received one of Greece's most prestigious lifestyle honors: Status Magazine's "Man of the Year - Most Stylish Man." In 2009, he launched and hosted his own late-night talk show, Kalinixta Ellada ("Goodnight Greece"), on ANT1 TV. He has appeared on numerous TV programs as a guest and pop culture figure.
In 2008, NiVO was selected for New Era's global Capture the Flag campaign, joining a roster of international celebrities. He designed a custom 59fifty cap that was released worldwide in a limited edition. Over the years, he has collaborated with brands such as Puma, Nike, Red Bull, and HYPE in both Greece and Cyprus.
NiVO made his acting debut in the Greek box office hit Loufa & Apallagi - I4, for which Goin' Through also produced the soundtrack. In 2010, their hit "Polla provlimata" became the official soundtrack for Village Roadshow's top-grossing film 180 Moires. His acting career continued to flourish with roles in several major Greek productions, including Poker Face, Akalyptos, the Bachelor trilogy (1, 2, and 3), Halvai 5-0, and The Black Bachelor, produced by Showtime Productions and Village.
