Lara is a trilingual Dora nominated Toronto-based performer by way of Beirut, Lebanon, upstate NY, and Paris, France. She is best known as Mrs. Ada on the hit show Kim's Convenience. Other recent TV credits include The Handmaid's Tale, Murdoch Mysteries, Taken and Dark Matter, while her film work has been showcased at several International Film Festivals. Other highlights include voicing the titular role in the French version of the animated series Miss Spider (Quebec)
Lara is also an accomplished stage actress who has worked in theaters across Canada- even learning how to do aerials for the show, The Silver Arrow, at Edmonton's Citadel Theatre.
As a writer and director, Lara has participated in both the prestigious Banff Playwrights Lab and Directors Lab North.
