Tara Aghdashloo is an award-winning writer, director, poet and multidisciplinary artist born in Iran. A former journalist and documentary maker, Tara pivoted to filmmaking in recent years. Her films have been commissioned by institutions such as BFI Network, BBC and Canada Council of the Arts , and she's made three short films including The Ride (2023), Bridge (2023) and Empty Your Pockets (2024).
