Bade Miyan Chote Miyan Was Trending Better In Terms Of Advance Booking ( Photo Credit – YouTube )
Akshay Kumar’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has opened in the theaters, and the film, with its very first show, has to gear up to face brickbats. The film has opened to bad reviews, and a clash with Maidaan would certainly not help Ali Abbas Zafar’s action-biggie.
However, the worst has happened already, with a trade analyst hinting that the advance booking numbers for the film might be fake. The action biggie, also starring Tiger Shroff, was trending better in terms of advance booking for day 1.
As per reports, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan closed the advance booking for day 1 with almost 5 crore worth of pre-sales at the box office, but this might not be entirely true, since trade analyst Nishit Shaw decoded how an 80% booked show on Book My Show for the first day...

Hyderabad, May 18 (Ians) Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and opted to bowl first against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Match No. 65 of Indian Premier League (Ipl) 2023 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, here on Thursday.
The Faf du Plessis-led Rcb, who registered a big win against Rajasthan Royals in the last game, didn’t make any change in their playing XI.
“We are gonna have a bowl. The last two nights we have had some dew. Good surface but touch on the slower side. Same team as the last game. Hasaranga has a niggle. Bracewell strengthens our batting. We have to start afresh. The game of cricket has a funny way of biting you. You have to have the humility of looking at a fresh game,” said Du Plessis at the toss.

Kolkata, May 12 (Ians) After losing to Rajasthan Royals by nine wickets at Eden Gardens, Kolkata Knight Riders left-handed batter Venkatesh Iyer said he would take responsibility for his side’s slowdown in the middle overs.
On a two-paced pitch, Venkatesh struggled to get going and was at 11 off 20 balls at one point. Though he found his groove by smashing boundaries against Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal to top-score with 57 off 42 balls, it couldn’t prevent Kolkata from the thumping defeat leaving their Play-offs hopes in trouble.
“I would take responsibility for playing a lot of dot balls. I should have rotated more, and I think that little phase was owned by Rajasthan, but we made a good comeback in the game. However, at the end of the day, it did not matter,” he said in the post-match press conference.

Kolkata, April 29 (Ians) Noor Ahmed and Joshua Little were impressive in taking two wickets in middle overs while Vijay Shankar stepped up at the right time to overcome a scare in middle overs and smash a blazing 51 off just 24 balls to lead Gujarat Titans to top of the Ipl 2023 points table with a seven-wicket victory over Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens on Saturday.
Post the play starting after 45 minutes of rain delay, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, coming in for an injured Jason Roy, slammed a scintillating 39-ball 81, laced with five fours and seven sixes. But apart from Andre Russell, the birthday boy, smashing a 19-ball 34, with two fours and three sixes, no other batter stepped up as Kolkata made 179/7.

New Delhi, April 24 (Ians) Following Kolkata Knight Riders’ (Kkr) defeat to the Chennai Super Kings (Csk), former India spinner Harbhajan Singh has raised concerns about the team’s lack of consistency and frequent changes in their game plan.
Kkr suffered a crushing 49-run defeat against Csk at the Eden Gardens on Sunday. Chasing A mammoth 236-run target, Knight Riders were restricted to 186/8 as they slumped to their fourth straight defeat in the competition.
Harbhajan has questioned Kkr’s approach and emphasized the need for the team to stick to a consistent strategy.
In the seven games played so far, Kolkata Knight Riders have made numerous changes, particularly to their opening pair. Litton Das was dropped for the match against the Chennai Super Kings. Narayan Jagadeesan was brought back to partner with Jason Roy.

Kolkata, April 14 (Ians) Nitish Rana’s fighting captain’s knock (75 off 41) and Rinku Singh’s unbeaten fifty (58 not out) went in vain as Sunrisers Hyderabad (Srh) beat Kolkata Knight Riders (Kkr) by 23 runs in an Indian Premier League (Ipl) 2023 match at Eden Gardens, here on Friday.
After losing three early wickets, Rana held the fort for Kkr with his vital innings, which had six maximums and five boundaries while runs also flowed from Rinku’s bat but it wasn’t enough to take Kkr over the line.
Chasing a mammoth 228-run target, Kkr had a slow start as Bhuvneshwar Kumar struck in the very first over, sending Rahmanullah Gurbaz back for a third ball duck and giving away just one run off the over. After 3 runs coming off the next over, Venkatesh Iyer and N Jagadeesan went for a few hits against Bhuvneshwar in his second over.

Ahmedabad, April 9 (Ians) In Ipl 2022, Rinku Singh had smashed 40 off just 15 balls for the Kolkata Knight Riders and was on the verge of scripting an unlikely win against Lucknow Super Giants in their last league game. But a stunning catch from Evin Lewis on the penultimate ball of the game resulted in his dismissal and Kolkata ending on the losing side.
Cut to April 9, 2023, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The last over started with Kkr needing 29 runs for an unlikely win against Gujarat Titans. After Umesh Yadav took a single off Yash Dayal, carnage followed as Rinku smashed five successive sixes on the last five balls, leading an improbable heist for Kolkata.
Rinku, unbeaten on 48, attributed his miraculous knock to immense self-belief. “I had the belief that I can do this. (Nitish) Rana bhai said to keep the belief and to bat till the end, then we will see what happens.

Kolkata witnessed a glorious show from the home team as the Kolkata Knight Riders defeated the Royal Challengers Bangalore by 81 runs.
Batting first, Kkr scored 204 runs in the first innings, led by Shardul Thakur’s rapid-fire 68 runs in 29 deliveries and Rahmanullah Gurbaz’s 57 runs.
Rcb started well but as the star opening pair of Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis looked like getting into the groove, the spinners were introduced, and it was all Kkr show from thereon. Kolkata, March 28 (Ians) Kolkata Knight Riders head coach Chandrakant Pandit is hoping that Shreyas Iyer will be back very soon and feels the right-hander can still play a part for the team in the upcoming Indian Premier League (Ipl) 2023.
The recurrence of back pain has kept Shreyas out of the tournament for the time being. He has been doing his rehab but there is very little clarity over the possibility of him returning at some stage.
As a result, the two-time champion Kkr has named Nitish Rana as their skipper for the upcoming season.
“Whatever little cricket I have played or coached, I have never gone back over things like squad unavailability. Shreyas’s absence will make a difference since he is important, but this is truly unfortunate.
