It’s a temporary alliance, to say the least. When all six contestants touch down in Tokyo, Nicole and Travis are ready to leave Tim and Marie in the dust, only to realize they don’t have an address needed to go to the next clue. In the end, none of the teams gets ahead, and they all follow each other to the next leg of the race.

"Beverly Hills, 90210" icon Ian Ziering made his debut as guest headliner with the Chippendales all-male revue in Las Vegas, and he hopes the move will help harden his rep.
"Having the image, the blond hair and blue eyes, is a bit limiting," Ziering tells Las Vegas Weekly. "I'll be displaying more of an edge, and in a very sexual way. I'm hoping that will alter the focus and opinion of me from a lot of people."
After posing and flexing on the red carpet in the signature Chippendales bow tie, Ziering made his debut alongside "The Amazing Race" Season 21 winners James Vaughan and James Davis. "I'm like 'Magic Ian' now," he says.
Ziering's "90210" co-star Jennie Garth wrote on Twitter that she plans to come check out her old pal as he gyrates on stage. Hopefully that won't be too awkward -- you know, seeing an old co-worker at their new job and all.

Another week, another full notebook I need to empty out, as my travels this week have taken me to Toronto and the set of 2013 Netflix series Hemlock Grove (more on that in the new year), but I also managed to grab some good scoop from American Horror Story and Portlandia, while chatting up the hunky runners-up from The Amazing Race.
Let’s go!
American Horror Story: Asylum I’m still a little torn over FX’s hit anthology series. Granted, the stories are all over the place, but I’ve learned that I enjoy the show more when I just climb in and go with wherever it takes me. (Anyone agree? Or disagree? Leave a comment!)
But I absolutely love seeing Jessica Lange be all sorts of crazy as Sister Jude. On the phone this week, the Golden Globe winner for American Horror Story Season 1 talked recently about how different...

The Amazing Race finish line on Sunday's finale with The Beekman Boys (and host Phil Keoghan).
Nobody was as surprised as Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Brent Ridge (a.k.a. The Beekman Boys) that they were the first to cross the finish line on Sunday’s Amazing Race finale. Often referring to themselves as the underdogs, the gay couple, who have been together for 14 years, beat the odds and throughout the race maintained their integrity. They constantly pushed and supported each other to a million dollar prize.
We talked to Josh and Brent post-finale to get their take on what put them ahead of the other teams (including runners-up Chippendale contestants Jaymes Vaughan and James Davis),and what exactly they plan to do with their newly won million.
AfterElton: So how hard has it been to keep this secret??
Josh Kilmer-Purcell: It’s more fun to keep a secret than to tell people.

Jaymes Vaughan (l) and James Davis celebrate 2nd place on this season's The Amazing Race.
The finale of CBS’s The Amazing Race aired last Sunday night, and we now know that the million dollar prize went to The Beekman Boys, Josh Kilmer-Purcell and his partner, Brent Ridge.
But making the competition hotter – in more ways than one – were Jaymes Vaughan and James Davis, the two Chippendales dancers who proved that not only are they are great to look at but that they also have big hearts.
In fact, one of the more touching points of the show is when Jaymes (the blonde, openly gay one) talked about doing the race for his father, who is currently fighting cancer. The obvious friendship between Jaymes and James (who is straight) was also abundantly clear throughout the race as the guys consistently showed their upbeat, always cheery demeanors as often as their impressive pecs and abs!

Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Brent Ridge have been crowned as the season 21 winners of The Amazing Race. The Beekmans secured the $$1 million grand prize in New York ahead of runners-up Jaymes Vaughan and James Davis and third-placed Trey Wier and Lexi Beerman. Twins Natalie and Nadiya Anderson were earlier eliminated in Loire Valley, France. Josh stated: "We were the underdogs. And what I hope this proves to people whether they're a minority, out of work or they're losing their house or whatever, that if they just keep going and just keep working as hard as they can, people will help and at some time, you will win." His partner Brent added: "This Race really has brought us back together again. I've had to work in the city, and he's on the farm. So winning this Race will actually physically bring us back together again, for the next 50 years." (more)...
