Anike Tourse, an accomplished multimedia maker both in front of and behind the scenes, is listed as #8 on the IMDB Black Women + Behind the Camera: A Small Studies Guide. Anike is the writer and director of award-winning narrative feature "America's Family" available on all major VOD platforms and short film "America; I Too," in distribution with New Day Films and also available on Kanopy. She has written for series television including daytime serial "One Life to Live," and sitcom "Girlfriends," Anike's projects in development include the animated short film "Frances the Fish" about the little salmon that could. Anike has penned and performed several solo shows touring her productions across the country as well as for the Edinburgh (Scotland) Fringe Festival; the largest international theater festival in the world and on a national Nigerian tour sponsored by the 7-UP Bottling Company. She is the playwright of play "No Milk Today" which premiered at the Reedsburg, Wisconsin Fermentation Fest. Anike has a B.A. from Bates College and an MFA from The Ohio State University focusing on a track for actors who create their own work. In her personal time Anike is an avid baker, cook, gardener and traveler.
