“When I first read The Crucible, I think it was in high school, and I was just trying to make it through the year, honestly” shares Sadie Sink with a laugh. The actress stars in the new Broadway play John Proctor Is the Villain, which draws inspiration from the famous Arthur Miller play from 1953. In Kimberly Belflower’s drama, Sink stars as Shelby, a high school junior who takes a leave of absence from school and returns in time for her class discussion of The Crucible, which coincides with the #MeToo movement rippling through her small community in Georgia. Sink recently sat down with Gold Derby to discuss the complexity of her character and her reaction to Stranger Things: The First Shadow.

Although only 23 years old, Sink is a Broadway veteran, appearing in the 2012 revival of Annie and later starring opposite Helen Mirren in her Tony-winning role in The Audience.

It’s a testament to the subtle brilliance of Kimberly Belflower’s writing and Danya Tamor’s direction that you can hardly feel the 105-minute, no-intermission runtime of John Proctor Is the Villain.

The play, now on Broadway, follows a group of junior girls at Helen County High, a small school in northeast Georgia, who start a feminist club at the height of the #MeToo movement. At first, their plans are almost thwarted by anonymously concerned community members who worry the group will alienate boys. The girls insist that their male peers can, and in fact should, become members. “If we were able to foster a meaningful dialogue with them, we could find common ground,” intones Beth (an impressive Fina Strazza), the high-strung but well-meaning one of the crew. “That’s like, the whole purpose of this club, that’s why it’s so important.”

The 47-year-old country singer announced he is about to tour the United States and Canada with the Full Throttle Tour 2025, featuring special guests Nate Smith, RaeLynn, and Dee Jay Silver.

The tour kicks off at Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, on May 23 and will make stops like Toronto’s Budweiser Stage, Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, Denver’s Ball Arena, Grand Rapid’s Van Andel Arena, Des Moines’ Wells Fargo Arena, Charleston’s Credit One Stadium and will wrap up at iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre in West Palm Peach, Florida on October 4.

Those who missed Kane Brown‘s tour last year will have another opportunity to see the country singer on stage as he is preparing for another tour this spring.

Brown will be kicking off his In The Air tour on March 28 in Charlottesville, Virginia, and will be making stops through major cities like Houston, Las Vegas and Atlanta. Sacramento, California, and Tampa, Florida, will be treated to two back-to-back concerts from the “What Ifs” singer.

As Kane Brown readies the release of “I Can Feel It,” a new song that samples the iconic drum solo from Phil Collins’ “In the Air Tonight,” the country artist is announcing a run of spring tour dates he’s dubbed In the Air tour. The dates kick off in March and run through September. Several of the dates include stadium appearances.

Tyler Hubbard will serve as the opening act for most dates, while Jon Pardi, Chris Young, Bailey Zimmerman, Cole Swindell, Parmalee, Locash, and RaeLynn will appear on various dates.

The Voice crowned its winner tonight as Blake Shelton also said goodbye to the NBC competition series after 23 seasons.

When Tanner Howe took the stage to try and impress the coaches with his rendition of Shawn Mendes’ hit, “Mercy”, Cabello recognized her ex’s track straight away.

Blake Shelton‘s Doing It to Country Songs Tour is full of talent and not just of the musical variety.

On the road with Shelton and his The Voice mentee RaeLynn is Jazz, a service dog trained to detect changes in blood sugar levels.

WildHorse will be chock full of new RaeLynn material, as the record sports the standard 12 tracks highlighted by the previously released single, “Love Triangle.” “Love Triangle,” which came out back in July, is about being a child of divorce, and the song is an emotionally-charged and raw ballad that supports the cause. The title track, “WildHorse,” is out today, and is a polar opposite of “Love Triangle” – it’s mid-tempo, fun, and proof that WildHorse is going to have a type of song for everyone.
