The latest film from prolific UK genre out fit Proportion Productions, The Candy Witch tells the story of two ghost hunters are called upon a distressed family who claim they are being tormented by an evil spirit known in their local town as The Candy Witch. But as the mystery of her curse is uncovered, surprising and sinister turns are discovered around The Candy Witch’s identity. Their hardest case yet, can they solve this evil curse before more people are killed by the demonic spirit?
I’m going to sound like a broken record once again as I extol the virtues of Proportion Productions aren’t I?...

For every Child’s Play or Annabelle Comes Home it’s expected that a few low budget alternatives (or “mockbusters” as many call them) would be around at a similar time. Joker Clown though, is also jumping on the bandwagon of It and the sequel It: Chapter 2, so here we have a killer clown and killer doll all in one form!
Why the lead character ‘Lane’ purchased this doll in the first place I have no idea. There’s some attempt at an explanation which basically boils down to ‘she likes horror movies and it looks a bit creepy’ so she offers the local second hand shop seller £50 and it’s hers. Bargain!

We’ve covered quite a few films from UK production outfit Proportion Productions, who have become almost factory-like in their film output in recent years, with films like the Unhinged remake, Fox Trap, House on Elm Lake, Darker Shade of Elise, Mother Krampus, Suicide Club, Curse of the Scarecrow and The Bad Nun to name a few… Pet Graveyard is the latest film in their ouevre and no, before you ask, this is Not a riff on Pet Sematary.
Going back to the title for a minute, it seems such a shame that the companies recent output has been lumbered with these “mockbuster”-like titles and marketing (I’m looking at you Mother Krampus and The Bad...
