Frédéric Guillaume(III)

Frédéric Guillaume, defined by the Hollywood Reporter as a "multhyphenate", is firstly a movie director - but also a cameraman, producer, animator, musician, tarot expert, professor of Hatha/Vinyasa and Yin Yoga. Graduated at the Insas film school in Brussels in 2001, he joins the pedagogical tradition of direct cinema with his first short film "Krash", a political and burlesque movie about the end of the kingdom of money, and with his first documentary "Heron City", awarded in several festivals. Following the AJC! Association, for which he worked for many years, he proposes a "no budget" cinema, with a minimal economy and with the purpose of enhancing the director's freedom of creation.In the early 2000's, he directs several documentary essays about utopia, money, happiness, friendship and solidarity. He gradually feels the need of turning his camera "on the inside", and starts an autobiographical journey that will end up into "Les Années Claires" (Clear Years), which will have its première at the 2015 IDFA competition. Today he's preparing a new documentary essay named "Le lieu tranquille", about the deep human desire to take refuge, freely inspired by the essay written by Peter Handke.
