Tian Boothe is an American film director, writer, producer, and musician known for Shattered Dream, CP Original and E.R. Emotional Release. She was born on July 24, 1990, in Saint Andrew, Jamaica and is of Caribbean and Syrian descent. She moved to the United States in 2013. She attended the private school Immaculate Conception Preparatory School and Immaculate Conception High School in Jamaica. She completed high school in one year with the help of tutors through homeschooling. In college she majored in Mathematics and Computer Science; then majored in Software Engineering during her graduate studies at Nova Southeastern University.
Upon moving to the States, she realized her heart desired to be in the Arts and eventually stopped her graduate studies to pursue her filmmaking ambition. She moved to California to study cinema production at Los Angeles City College, where she earned an A.A. in Cinema Production. During this time her work included "The Chase", "Fall Break", "The Tip", "Worrying About the Future" and "Never Look Back". Her film Fall Break won the top student films award at LACC and won her best directing at Pierce AGVS Festival. Her film, Never Look Back was nominated by Culture of Life Film Festival. In her last term she landed her first film internship and professional film job where she was mentored by multi award-winning producer Kia Kiso (Mile... Mile & A Half," "America the Beautiful," "Spiritual Liberation"). For her final student project, she wrote and directed Shattered Dream, a romance drama starring herself, Cate Kessler, and Tai Boothe. She also wrote the lyrics and sang the original soundtrack for the short film. Her film Shattered Dream won multiple awards and kept getting disqualified - being stated that her work looked too professional to be a student film; disheartened Boothe decided to stop entering film festivals and posted her song and film on YouTube where it gained her high recognition. It was a low budget independent film, but Boothe's superb, dynamic direction made it a surprise mainstream success and it is now regarded as one of the most heartfelt and touching films and songs for a new artist. The film then became the recipient of the Rebel Film Festival 2018 for the short film "Shattered Dream". Having collaborated and created content across many genres, Boothe has collaborated with celebrated artists such as world sprinter Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Gino Ferrari, and Inga Nataya.
In 2019, Boothe formed her own production company, Film in Hand. She was featured alongside Third World Don and Malcolm David Kelly in the Amazon Prime film "Ain't No Other Way". She then wrote and directed "E.R. Compliance" a connecting story to her successful film Shattered Dream. In 2021 she wrote the musical narrative feature film E.R. Emotional Release, a romance epic about two lovers based of her short film Shattered Dream. In 2022 she wrote, sang, and directed CP Original, a fantasy romance music video. In 2023 she wrote, sang, and directed CP It's All About the Bounce a follow up story to the previous song. Her feature documentary film You Should Never Tell is a quarter-finalist in the 2023 ScreenCraft True Story & Public Domain Competition.
She is the niece of popular Jamaican vocalist, Ken Boothe and is the sister of music producer Jullian Boothe, best known as Amara La Negra' manager on "Love & Hip Hop: Miami." Having collaborated and created content across many genres, Boothe has collaborated with celebrated artists such as world sprinter Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Gino Ferrari, and Inga Nataya.
