James McElvar

James McElvar was born in Glasgow, Scotland and grew up in Cumbernauld.
In late 2017, it was announced he had been selected to join the Nation Ensemble at Scottish Youth Theatre. He then became a member of the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain after joining the 2019 Playing Up company.
His first feature film role came from Danny Boyle playing a Young Sick Boy (Simon) in the sequel to Trainspotting, T2:Trainspoting. He then played Skinny in Harry Wootliff's Only You.
James will play Freddie in the Netflix Original Into the Night in 2020.
