Stephen Conroy
Stephen Conroy was an Australian Labor Party member of the Australian Senate from 1996 to 30 September 2016, representing the state of Victoria. He is a very keen Doctor Who fan, who whilst in parliament, lobbied to have a Doctor Who episode shot in Australia. Stephen Conroy's parents worked at an Australia RAAF base. In 1973 the family relocated to Canberra, in the Australian Capital Territory, where Conroy attended Daramalan College; and later was awarded a Bachelor of Economics through the Australian National University in Canberra. He has been married to Paula Benson since 2000 and have a daughter Isabella who was born in 2006.
