Zac Brown Band have released a pair of new singles under their new agreement with Warner Bros. Nashville. “Out in the Middle” and “Old Love Song” follow the country vocal band’s recent radio release “Same Boat,” and both were co-written by country superstar Luke Combs.
Penned by Brown and Combs with Ben Simonetti and Jonathan Singleton, “Out in the Middle” is a song of praise for the country lifestyle. With a swampy, rumbling groove that recalls Nitty Gritty Dirt Band’s “Fishin’ in the Dark,” the song checks off...

Back when he was a fledgling songwriter with a new publishing deal, Michael Hardy was hanging out with his dad and a friend at the Nashville drinking establishment Tin Roof. He had only a few dollars to his name, so he bought a tall Pbr for six bucks and nursed it as slowly as possible. Across the room, he spotted a pretty young woman glancing at her phone and looking around for someone. Summoning his courage, Hardy approached and asked if she’d like to sit with them until her friend arrived.

Though Chloe Kohanski’s journey on season 13 of The Voice wasn’t always smooth sailing, she learned a lot about herself along the way as she was ultimately crowned the winner.
“I never had a moment where I thought I have this in the bag. It instilled a lot of confidence in me. No matter what I was walking away with I have a sense of who I am,” the 23-year-old Nashville native told reporters after Tuesday’s finale.
After the blind auditions, she joined Miley Cyrus’ team but was nearly eliminated when Cyrus chose contestant Ashland Craft over her in the knockout rounds.

Congratulations, Chloe Kohanski!
The fan favorite contestant of season 13 — known for her unique sound and style — was crowned the winner of The Voice on Tuesday.
Kohanski’s win marks the sixth victory for veteran coach and People’s Sexiest Man Alive Blake Shelton — making him the top mentor with a record-breaking number of wins.
The star-studded evening featured performances by Bastille, Vince Gill, Jessie J, Norah Jones, Bebe Rexha, Sia and last year’s Voice winner Chris Blue. Kohanski was paired up with one of her idols, Billy Idol, to perform “White Wedding,” and it couldn’t have been a better match.

As The Voice hurtled toward the Season 13 semifinals Tuesday, three contestants sang for a save before not one but two of them were sent packing. Going into the hour, the likeliest candidates for elimination were, as usual, Shi’Ann Jones (poor sales and polling) and, this time around, Ashland Craft (whose star power shone about as brightly Monday as one of those miniature glitter stars your teacher would affix to your test when you got an “A” in second grade). But who actually took their final bows?

Ok, so this isn’t the most suspenseful season of The Voice ever. At this point, for Chloe Kohanski not to win, she wouldn’t just have to hit a bum note, she’d have to smack one of the show’s producers. (And even then, if she cried a glittery, apologetic tear, they might turn the other cheek.) The only real question mark hanging over Season 13 is which contestants will be singing with her in the finals. Some, obviously, won’t make it. (Good as he is, poor Adam Cunningham’s been on borrowed time for going on three weeks.
