Biography:
Dimpho More (28) is an actor, theatre/ filmmaker from Nelspruit, Mpumalanga residing in Johannesburg. Having received her qualification in Performance arts and Theatre Skills at The Market Theatre Laboratory [2016], she has since continued to establish herself as a true thespian and storyteller in the South African industry. Her theatre experience is vast; with her most recent appearance in the selling out show ['Di Aparo Tsa Mama'; 2022] at the The Market Theatre, directed by Rorisang Motuba. Other shows include ['Itsoseng'; 2017] directed by Lesedi Job, Sibusiso Mamba's ['Six Characters in Search of an Author'; 2016] and James Ngcobo's ['Children's Monologues' and 'June 16 Monologues'; 2016 + 2017]. Being a part of the above mentioned productions has awarded her the opportunity to work alongside well seasoned performers such as Hamilton Dlamini, David Butler, Desmond Dube and Paka Zwedala to mention a few. Dimpho's television/screen presence continues to grow; with her anticipated 2022 Lead role film debut in Netflix's ['Soweto Blaze', Dir by Brad Katzen]. She is first and best known for her role in the nationally renowned TV Soapie ['7de Laan', 2017/'19/'20] as the young, ambitious "Nozi" and BET's first Original Drama ['Isono', 2020/'21] as the big dreaming, orphaned "Phindile". She forms part of the cast of very popular YouTube series titled ['Love the Web Series', 2018-2021]; where she plays Lihle - a love troubled 'blesee'. She has also graced the Mzansi Magic film screens as the lead in both ['Obsession'; 2018] and ['uThando neDIski', 2022]. As an empowered young woman; Dimpho has produced two productions with 'BlxckWorx' Media house namely; ['Sho Madjodzi's Global Citizen Performance'; 2021] and ['Mutlichoice Future Focus Campaign', 2022]. She has since registered her own Production House Company and has plans to tell more stories whilst empowering others too.
