Erasure’s Andy Bell & A-Ha’s Morten Harket for Popstar To Operastar 2011
As Britain’s Got Talent draws closer to it’s live shows and it’s conclusion, ITV is starting to reveal some details about it’s upcoming series of Popstar To Operastar.
The show – fronted by Myleene Klass and Alan Titchmarsh – was won last year by former Pop Idol contestant Darius Danesh (Campbell) and stars reportedly lined up for the 2011 run include Erasure singer Andy Bell.
The 47-year-old singer is said to have signed on to join a host of other celebrities – including former ‘X Factor’ winner Joe McElderry – in the new series of the quirky talent show, which teaches pop stars how to sing opera.
According to the Daily Star newspaper, A-Ha singer Morten Harket is another musician reportedly willing to train his voice to be Pavarotti-perfect.
An insider said Joe was hoping the appearance would help boost his profile after recently being dropped by his recording label.
