Cheryl Cole dropped Derek Hough overnight, says ex-minder
Cheryl Cole's former minder has claimed that the Girls Aloud star seemed to part from her friend Derek Hough "overnight". Craig Balkham, who no longer works for Cole, told Heat that she has very few friends apart from Hough, her mother Joan Callaghan, and personal assistant Lily England. "It was pretty clear that she was lonely," he said. "She doesn't seem to have that many proper girlfriends. "Derek Hough was the only true friend I saw her with who was not on the payroll. He had genuine, warm feelings for her and overnight she seemed to drop him."
