Studiocanal Buys 'Pillars' German Producer Tandem
Cologne, Germany - France's Studiocanal has taken a majority stake in boutique TV production/sales operation Tandem Communications, the Munich-based outfit behind the Emmy-nominated miniseries The Pillars of the Earth and its upcoming sequel World Without End. Story: Studiocanal Announces $205 Million Slate Financing Deal Tandem toppers Rola Bauer, Tim Halkin and Jonas Bauer will stay on as shareholders and will continue to run Tandem under the new arrangement. The deal, which closed shortly before New Year's, has Studiocanal take an initial 51 per cent stake in Tandem with an option to increase its share at a later date. Both
