While I’ve harped on The Walking Dead as much as any about its stale arguments and stalled direction since returning for its second half of its second season, this episode was All arguments, politics and pontificating, and it didn’t stop it from being the best and most shocking episode since Sophia’s return in “Pretty Much Dead Already.”
As Daryl pummels Randall in the barn, fishing for information about his people, it’s decision time on Herschel’s farm. This time, they are deciding a man’s fate, whether Randall should live or die. For once, Rick and Shane agree on something. Randall presents a danger to the farm and their group and needs to be put down.
