
Ultravox release first new album with Midge Ure in 26 years

Ultravox have released a new album with frontman Midge Ure for the first time in 26 years. The electronic pioneers released the band's 11th studio album Brilliant on Monday (May 28), the first with Ure since 1986's U-Vox. Ure revealed that the group's current line-up (Ure, Billy Currie, Chris Cross and Warren Cann), perhaps the most well-known, decided to work on new material after they reunited for a tour in 2009. "It's been an interesting process. If we sat and talked about this two years ago, it wasn't on the cards," Ure told BBC Breakfast. "We got together two years together to tour, and during it we talked about the possibilities [of recording a new album]. "Once we got the idea of how to process this, we went ahead and started."
