'The Apprentice' returns: Series nine candidates revealed
The candidates for this year's series of The Apprentice have been revealed.
The BBC series will return for its ninth run on Tuesday, May 7 and will continue on Wednesdays at 9pm from May 8.
"This process is not about a job, it is about me ploughing £250,000 into a business," said Lord Sugar. "This is an unbelievable opportunity. For me to choose you, you've got to be brilliant."
On the girls' team are 32-year-old dance and entertainment entrepreneur Francesca MacDuff-Varley, 24-year-old doctor Leah Totton and 41-year-old literacy and education company director Jaz Ampaw-Farr, who claims: "I'm half machine. I can process things at a speed that is out of this world!"
30-year-old recruitment manager Natalie Panayi, 35-year-old medical rep Rebecca Slater, 22-year-old restauranteur Sophie Lau and 32-year-old make-up brand owner Uzma Yakoob will also be competing for Lord Sugar's investment.
