Michael Douglas' Throat Cancer Caused By Oral Sex, Says Michael Douglas
Hear a little too much about Michael Douglas over the weekend? Yeah, it was quite eventful. Looking back on his 2010 battle with throat cancer, the actor opened up to British paper The Guardian about what really may have caused it. Despite rumors about his alcohol and smoking use over the years, the actual reason came as quite the shock.
"Because without wanting to get too specific, this particular cancer is caused by Hpv [human papillomavirus], which actually comes about from cunnilingus."
Not specific?
"I did worry if the stress caused by my son's incarceration didn't help trigger it. But yeah, it's a sexually transmitted disease that causes cancer. And if you have it, cunnilingus is also the best cure for it."
Douglas has been married to Catherine Zeta-Jones for 13 years, but the actress was never mentioned during the interview.
